Do my Green Friends like Green Eggs and Ham? Do You?

by Mary on September 4, 2013

When ever I hear the word GREEN more than twice in a conversation my mind goes to Dr. Seuss and I hear “I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Sam-I-Am”.

There is such an overload of the word GREEN. There is even a quasi-icky thing called Green Washing, where you claim to be Green but really are not. Green Shame, maybe. Is there a site which exposes a green faker?

We are a Green Company and have aligned with a Green approach and have Green Products: Green Now Total Skin Care Mist and the amazing Family of Nixall products. We seek out Green collaborators such as the Green Business Bureau and  GreenSourceDFW.org. But, like Dr. Seuss, I wonder about all this Green. What do you think?

I have to agree about the overuse and misuse of the term ‘green’. Even the creepy products like Clorox and P&G are adding the word to their products without even changing their ingredients. A bottle of Windex has a little green leaf logo with the term “greenlist”. their statement on the label: “Greenlist: our patented process to select raw materials with reduced environmental impact while maintaining high performance.” whatever that means, and their ingredient list: water, carriers, cleaning agents, wetting agent…. and SCJ Formula #35*14153. What the heck?? no real ingredients are listed! Why would anyone buy these products when you can’t even see what is in them?
